The Rut: The Hot New Experimental Hashtag

If yesterday’s post showed me anything, it’s that I’m not the only one who gets overwhelmed by . . . everything. Having you guys share your experiences and advice really helped me out and it got me thinking. We should have a place to go when these funks hit. And since we pretty much all hang out on Twitter, a hashtag seemed the best way to go.

I’m calling it #TheRut

So now if you ever get depressed, feel unmotivated, have doubts, (Not just about writing, this hashtag is meant to encompass LIFE) you have a place to go.

Vent your frustrations. I’ll be there to listen or help you through it.

Maybe you’ve survived a rough patch. Share it. It might be just what someone else needs to get through the day.

You could share links to funny videos too. Sometimes a good laugh is the best medicine. Or helpful articles, but I don’t want this hash to become a promo blitz stream. I’m not looking for #TheRut to become a promo destination. Those are covered. I want a cool place for us to chat when we’re down.

I’m going to add it to my Tweetdeck. What do you guys think?
