My goal: Devote one hour a day to writing fiction.
This is going to be a quick update and in case you don’t want to hear me rant about why, skip to the last two paragraphs.
Yesterday, because of numerous technical problems, I worked an eleven hour day. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, just the way the cookie crumbled. Normally, I don’t make a big deal out of it, but because of the snow storm, I wanted to be home on time. Where I live snow just means you’d better give yourself more time to get to work.
The plan was to get home, do my ROW80 writing, check email, get everything I need for work ready and be in bed early. Well because of my craptacular day, this update is all I can do. My brain is too fried to write anything else, so if anyone left a comment on my post or emailed me yesterday, I’ll read that stuff today after work. Sorry about that.
Hopefully I’m at work now. Yesterday’s problems caused me to fall behind, so the earlier I get in, the better. Felt good to get that out. Thanks for listening.
I’m still moving along pretty well. Except for yesterday, I did my hour every day and am happy to say that I made it to the second act. I figure I’ll make up the hour today after work.
In my last update I mentioned getting the idea for the next part of my vampire series. Well it seems getting into this schedule has really woken up my imagination because other ideas rolling around in my head, completely different from the vampire series, are taking shape. I’m very happy I took the ROW80 challenge.
You call that a rant? :shakes head: Don’t worry, we can work on it.
Sorry for the crapfest at work. I hope you get caught up today.
LOL. I thought the same thing. Andrew’s too nice to rant the way we do, Susan. 😉
@Susan- Hey, brain fried, remember? That being said, is there a ranting workshop I can sign up for?
@Amy- Maybe for the next rant I’ll call some people mother flowers. That’s pretty mean and angry, right?
Sorry about work getting in the way but you’re still on track and getting new ideas is always a good sign. Despite the blip, it’s still working out for you. 🙂
Thanks Claire. Just what I needed to hear.
Oh, you’ll more than make up for any time you lose. I know you want to get this project done. I have the utmost confidence in you. I wonder if Susan will let me be part of Fandrew??? Keep up the good work!
On behalf of Susan (Fandrew #1) we welcome all those who are fans of ME.
Sympathies – I’ve been in that work-brain-fried state more times than I can count.
In sucks the big one.
Good report, Andrew.
Always nice to read something more than, “Umm, yeah, I’m on track, stop bugging me,” LOL.
And a nice pep-talk this week.
Thanks Craig, on both accounts. When ROW80 started, I was actually worried that my updates might get a little stale, but apparently I have a lot of crap on my mind. Glad everyone likes it.
Living where there’s snow is such a pain. I’ve lived in various parts of the US and in Germany. I’ll take mild winters any day. Hope things get easier with work and and the northern winds ease up.
Glad your ROW80 goals are going well. I feel the same about this challenge. I just love it!
I think I made my quota for mega crap days and I plan to make up for lost ROW80 time. Thanks for stopping by!
