“Oh by the way, HERE.”

I may not have gotten the quote exactly right, but it’s in reference to a favorite Christmas movie of mine, Scrooged.  In case you’ve never seen it, it’s a modern day (which is strange to say now since the movie came out in 1988) version of A Christmas Carol.  My title quote is from the part towards the end where the Scrooge character finally has gotten the true meaning of Christmas.

I’ve been reading a bunch posts and tweets about the holidays.  The craziness of buying gifts, preparing the house for company and in general running all over creation getting things done.  It’s all worth it because it’s for a very special and happy time of year.

Not everyone may be in that place.  We all know this.  Besides the bell jingling Santas we see outside department stores, there’s a bunch of other charities out there that probably bank on the extra kindness of people around the holidays.

There’s more I could say, but Bill Murray does it in under two minutes, so Mr. Murray if you please:

Your fellow indies need your help too.  Below are the links to three authors in need.  Please check them out and help in any way you can, which totally includes spreading the word.

Merry Christmas.  God bless us everyone.
